Dave is a self-taught artist whose practice has developed from 2-dimensional drawing to stain glass to 3-dimensional sculpture. Dave began drawing in his own unique style with ink on wood. His drawings are inspired by nature. Insects, animals, and plants can all be found in repetitive detail in his artworks. His use of the mandala evolved as he became more interested in the fractal mathematical structure of his drawings.  His most important work to-date was produced over a 18-year period and contains numerous personal deities that protect the

palace of his inner mind.
